  • Jr. Achievement of Northwest Florida proudly presents Pull for Kids to be held June 17, 2017 at the Santa Rosa Shooting Center.

    Jr. Achievement of Northwest Florida announced today it's Pull for Kids Sporting Clay Invitational. Pull for kids is set for June 17 at the Santa Rosa Shooting Center in Pace. It is one of Jr. Achievement's largest annual fundraisers. Registration is open and sponsorships are available. Register your four-person team for $500. Proceeds from the event fund Jr. Achievement's programming on personal finance for young people in the local school districts in grades kindergarten through 12th grade.   • JA Recieves $5,000 from Escambia County Sheriff’s Office

    The Escambia County Sheriff's Office granted $5,000 to Junior Achievement of Northwest Florida. The JA provides essential personal finance education to students in K-12th grade classes in Escambia County. The program has proven effective in professional development as well as a crime prevention mechanism, as the more education a person has the less likely they will be to engage in questionable or illegal activity.     Junior Achievement of Northwest Florida is seeking volunteers for the spring semester of the 2016-2017 school year. Volunteers from the business community are needed to teach in classrooms k-12 in the Escambia and Santa Rosa County school districts to mentor young people regarding finance and business ownership.
