With the help of trained volunteer role models from the community, Junior Achievement shows young people how money, careers, and business ownership work.
The Escambia County Sheriff's Office granted $5,000 to Junior Achievement of Northwest Florida. The JA provides essential personal finance and career preparedness education to students in K-12th grade classes in Escambia County. The program has proven effective nationally in professional development as well as a crime prevention mechanism, as the more education a person has the less likely they will be to engage in questionable or illegal activity. The two offices are excited about partnering in education for the 2017-2018 school year.
