Junior Achievement is passionate people inspiring kids to learn the economics of life through free enterprise education. JA enables caring adults to share their experience with students to show them what it takes to be successful. After all, kids are our future!
JA’s business and economics programs are for students in kindergarten through grade 12. The dynamic interaction between the volunteer and the students promotes active learning and brings theory to life.
JA’s unique approach integrates program materials, trainings, and support. JA is the successful bridge between education and business.
Students — JA students demonstrated a significant understanding of economics and business concepts – particularly those who participated in programs at consecutive grade levels, as determined by independent evaluators.
Mentors — Volunteers serve as role models to help young people better understand economic concepts in order to become successful in the workplace and in life.
Investors — Business, foundations, and individuals support JA because it teaches students the economics of life and because JA’s positive impact is measurable.
Educators — Teachers welcome Junior Achievement’s resources because they enhance the learning environment, reinforce the classroom curricula and makes education relevant.
As a volunteer — share your work experience with students as a role model in the classroom and participate in educating tomorrow’s workforce.
As a business or corporation — consider sponsoring a classroom or a whole school, ensuring that students receive JA’s valuable economic education programs. Invite students into your company to get an up-close look at the world of work during Job Shadow Day. Partipate in JA’s special events including Mardi Gras Bowl & Business Hall of Fame.
As a school or teacher — invite Junior Achievement into your school site at the elementary, middle or high school level. JA lessons enrich student learning and provide the fundamental economic concepts to make education relevant.
